Biography

Areas of Interest

My research focuses on how college students and young adults make sense of their identities, lives, and futures in the midst of urban precarity and tumultuous politics. I work with young adult poets in Chicago to understand how they use written and spoken words, shared across informal networks, to think with and shape their subjectivities as raced, classed, gendered participants in urban institutions and political processes.
