"I chose to apply to the Research Apprenticeship Program in Anthropology to continue my work with Dr. Michael Berman, which I started last semester. Dr. Berman and I have been working on a publication about listening by the state and how this affects the speed of which people receive care, especially in the realm of emergency call centers. Working with Dr. Berman has been central to informing my honors thesis on listening and suicide hotlines; it’s truly been a pleasure and a privilege!"
