"I began my apprenticeship with Professor Lina Fruzzetti during the fall of 2021, as she needed assistance organizing video footage, photographs, and field notes connected with documentary films that she has produced over the last few decades.

Her anthropological and documentary film work was recently selected by the Smithsonian Institution to be archived and it is my job to prepare these materials so that they can be delivered to the museum. This has been a significant undertaking considering the years of field research materials to comb through, including hundreds of slides, photographs, and paper documents.

I am interested in pursuing archiving as a career and this project allows me to gain valuable firsthand experience for how to best evaluate and organize archival materials."
