Biography

Mariz Kelada completed a B.A. in English Literature at Cairo University in 2011, and M.A. in Anthropology and Sociology at the American University in Cairo 2014. Her M.A. thesis: “Makings of Imagination in Alternative Cultural Spaces in Cairo” was based on a yearlong ethnographic fieldwork, part of it was published in the International Journal of Sociology in 2014. Since 2010 she worked in the Egyptian alternative cultural sector on diverse projects, performances, researches and films.
