Dr. Lynnette Arnold will join us as Cogut Mellon Postdoctoral in Linguistic Anthropology

We are happy to announce that Dr. Lynnette Arnold will be joining us for two years, beginning in July, as the Cogut Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow in Linguistic Anthropology. Dr. Arnold will teach courses in linguistic anthropology and engaged scholarship, contributing to our track in the Engaged Scholars Program and working closely with the Swearer Center.

Lynnette Arnold received her Ph.D. from the Department of Linguistics, University of California, Santa Barbara, June 2016 with a dissertation called "Communicative Care Across Borders: Language, Materiality, and Affect in Transnational Family Life." Her PhD studies were funded by a nationally competitive Jacob K. Javits Fellowship. She is currently a Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology, University of Massachusetts, Amherst and she has taught numerous courses on language and racism.
