"I applied to the Research Apprenticeship Program to continue the work I began last year when I took the course "Material Culture Practicum" with Professor Patricia Rubertone. For the final research project I worked with glass pieces from the Cocumscussoc collection, housed in the Department of Anthropology, and was able to connect and cross-mend pieces back together.

Through this apprenticeship I am going to work with the collection further to identify more shards of both glass and ceramics that belong to the same vessels and cross-mend them back together. I am hoping to put shards together to gain a greater understanding of their vessels and the collection."
